Open space in Brianza
In a Brianza terraced house we developed a project for the total interior renovation, reinterpreting the distribution of its spaces in order to create less divided and more fluid ones.
We transformed the kitchen environment – originally divided into two spaces separated by a supporting wall - into a unique environment that uses the exposed structural beam as a decorative element.
This intervention allowed we obtain a large living area, with an open space effect thanks both to the glass wall placed between the kitchen and the living room and to the stylistic continuity of the furnishings in the different spaces.
The kitchen, the living area protagonist, has been furnished with essential pieces that are however endowed of great visual impact. Its soft colours reflect and modulate the effect of the light coming from the large glass doors on both sides of the villa.
At the centre is an elegant Pienza island with a hawthorn brushstroke, whose clean but not minimal style perfectly matches the large Ischia suspended hood with stainless steel inserts.
The island looks like a well-organized and functional block. The large top is in technical marble, offering a comfortable sink alongside modern induction burners.
The base houses the dishwasher on one side and the oven on the other; both are combined with practical drawers and shelves.
Taormina column cabinets in raw fish herringbone complete the kitchen, occupying the entire back wall while hosting both the pantry and the large built-in refrigerator.
Immediately adjacent, the dining area coordinates with the kitchen both in shades of white and in the herringbone inlay of the Dorian extendable table top.
For the chairs we chose a line dressed in ecru dyed linen, to suggest a simple though elegant welcome.
The entrance area recalls the Taormina herringbone doors with symmetrical perfection, applying them to the large wardrobe.
Much care has been given to the selection of accessories and details. For example, the handles of the kitchen and wardrobe furniture are delicately inlaid so as to embellish the environment.
